Phyllida qualified as a chartered accountant in 1984. After working in the profession for 20 years she moved to the financial services sector followed by the healthcare and telecoms sectors.

Most of Phyllida’s work was with multinationals, where, in later years, she focused on the value brought to their businesses by different parts of their organisations.

Phyllida became a trustee of Wonderseekers and Chair of its Finance, Audit and Risk Committee in 2021 after seeing the key role of science in business and the Charity’s focus on inspiring all children to explore and treasure science.
