Wonderseekers Communications Team

At Wonderseekers, our goal is to empower children to develop the skills and knowledge needed to use science to tackle environmental issues. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to work collaboratively by creating a space where diverse people, ideas and experiences can be shared to benefit everyone. That’s why we have launched a brand-new corporate partnership scheme, the Curiosity Collective. Businesses who join this vital movement can support local children and the wider community. Find out more about your company can get involved.

A staggering 70% of children surveyed by Save the Children are worried about the world they will inherit. As a charity, using science, we’re on a mission to engage children with the world in a fun and imaginative way. Our aim is to help young people understand the climate crisis and support them in developing the critical thinking skills needed to respond to these global issues.

But we’re just getting started. Now we’re on the hunt for businesses who are passionate about creating a better future for children and the planet. We’re asking businesses for a £1000 donation towards our Charity’s new educational science and nature experiences. With this support, we can continue our work empowering children to take action against climate change and biodiversity loss. This is a fantastic opportunity for companies to demonstrate their commitment to the environment, work towards achieving their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals and help the next generation have a better future.

Ben Ward, Chief Executive of Wonderseekers, said: “With the support of local businesses we will help every child to discover the wonder of science. Our aim is to empower children together, to develop their self-confidence and resilience and to help them connect and participate in positive local action. We’re excited to hear from like-minded businesses who want to join us on our mission. It’s time to join the Curiosity Collective and make a difference.”

Already part of the collective are acoustic specialists Ecophon, electrical engineering firm Parlex, a Johnson Electric company, Designs For Lighting, one of the leading independent lighting consultancies in the UK, and Nosy a creative agency specialising in ethical marketing solutions.

Shane Cryer from Ecophon, said: “Wonderseekers is a fantastic organisation. The Science Centre itself is just brilliant. It’s really important that we have spaces where children can come to learn, feel at ease.”

Dominic Ward from Parlex, a Johnson Electric company, said: “If you’re wanting a return on your investment, there is none better than investing in exciting young people in science and technology. You’re investing in all of our futures because young people are out future.”

Richard Jackson from Designs For Lighting, said "We thought this was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with an amazing local charity where we can offer our support to promote creative education for children. The collaboration allows us also to demonstrate how we take serious our corporate social responsibility with great support and information from Wonderseekers to allow us to demonstrate this."

Matt Greg from Nosy, said: “Joining the Curiosity Collective is an exciting opportunity for us to demonstrate our values by taking action and contributing to a better future for children and for nature.”
