Can we find out how long day and night is on the Moon?

Let's try it! Have you ever heard someone say they've seen the full moon? Or a half moon? These are the lunar phases. The Moon is just like Earth. It has daytime and night-time. But only one side of the Moon faces the Earth. This means that we see different amounts of daytime and night-time when we see the Moon. This creates the lunar phases. On Earth a full day and night takes 24 hours. But how long is this on the Moon? Let's plan and take part in a fair test to find out.

Follow the step by step instructions on how to make and use a moon phases simulator. What do you predict will happen when you go Moon spotting? Good luck with your experimenting.
